Why DB2 Is Grabbing More Enterprise Customer Wins
IBM says more than 700 SAP clients are now relying on IBM2 for heavy database workloads and getting greater performance at a much lower cost point. A recent IBM study notes that today's tech leaders want to build data infrastructures that are flexible and can scale as needed. But they also want simpler, and automated, processes around that effort. Continuous business process improvement was cited by 74% of CIOs polled in the survey. The tech leaders said it's a priority in the quest to gain greater efficiency and boost competitiveness. In addition to the 700 new clients turning to IBM DB2, IBM has also seen significant momentum in its systems business with close to 250 Power Systems wins over Sun and HP in the third quarter timeframe. The roster list includes Reliance Life. Here's a short synopsis of what the company is gaining with DB2:. Reliance Life Insurance Company, which is one of India's leading private insurers, getting improved transaction performance and faster access to data and is helping the company keep pace with a growing customer base and new workload demands.
