Oracle Boosts Support; Partner Drives DB2 SQL Skin Forward

Oracle’s GoldenGate and Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g, the foundation of Oracle's data integration product line, offer support for additional heterogeneous systems, including IBM DB2; capture from JMS-based messaging systems and delivery to IBM DB2 for iSeries.

In a statement Oracle explains integration is a key focus:

“We are extending our leadership in the data integration market with the industry's most complete, integrated and open data integration solution," said Hasan Rizvi, senior VP, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Java, Oracle. "Oracle GoldenGate 11g and Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g deliver better and broader support for Oracle and non-Oracle environments and further improve on the products' industry-leading performance."

In related IBM partner support news, IBM partner ANTs has signed an administration support services contract with a leading insurance company to provide IBM Rational ClearCase administration support on a daily basis and application release implementation and support on a 24/7 basis.

ANTs says the client is also conducting an evaluation of the IBM DB2 SQL Skin product for the purposes of re-hosting their Sybase applications to DB2.

"This agreement with a top tier insurance company displays confidence toward the services capabilities that are part of ANTs since the Inventa acquisition," said CEO and Chairman Joseph Kozak. "We are extremely pleased with this agreement as it expands the portfolio of services that we are developing around our strategic partnership with IBM. It creates new service opportunities beyond our main database migration offerings."
