Database consolidation player, and IBM partner ANTS Software has been named a finalist in the 2010 CTO Innovation Award for providing the technology for fast, easy and smooth migration capabilities of Sybase ASE to IBM's DB2.

It is one of two finalists, in a group of 20 companies, and is being recognized for its development of IBM DB2 SQL Skin, which is part of the overall IBM SmarterSystems strategy.

IBM DB2 SQL Skin for Sybase ASE helps companies accelerate application migration from one database management system to another without the traditional investment costs and upgrade requirements.

The IBM CTO Innovation Award recognizes visionary partners that are using IBM's Information Management's latest capabilities in cutting-edge ways.
